Sad day! : Two FUTA students drown inside water during Entrepreneurship Training

The news reached us that they at the place for their Entrepreneurship training (ENT) at the laboratory for Fishery and Aquaculture, at the back of great hall, Obakekere. After the training, four of them decided to take a selfie on the canoe packed at the venue, during that process, the canoe which the four of them where in capsized, in which they drowned inside the water, and two of them narrowly escaped because they were able to swim, while the other two find it difficult to swim which leads to their death.

Artist Biography Bisade Ologunde, Lagos, Nigeria. Now based in Manhattan, New York, USA, Nigerian singer Ologunde adopted the name Lagbaja (meaning ‘anonymous’ or ‘faceless one’ in Yoruba) as he embarked on his career in the early 90s. His name was reflected in his choice of stage attire - a slitted textile and rubber mask adopted so that the artist represented the ‘common man’ in keeping with the carnival tradition of his Yoruba tribe. He formed his first small band in 1991 in Lagos after he had taught himself to play the saxophone. Oluwo convoy vehicle collides with petrol tanker

The Oluwo of Iwo , Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi, has escaped death after a vehicle in his convoy collided with a fuel -laden tanker on Osogbo-Iwo Road. Our correspondent gathered on Sunday that the tanker driver and the assistant driver sustained injuries in the accident which occurred between Awo and Ara Junction on Wednesday. A resident of Awo, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told our correspondent that the accident was caused by reckless overtaking, adding that he could not say whether the truck was attempting to overtake the monarch ’ s convoy or the other way round. The source explained that the tanker fell in the process and spilled its content on the road , adding that there was no loss of life in the accident which caused traffic jam for some hours before the wreckage was cleared .
